A native of Toronto, David Harding is a graduate of The Julliard School where he studied with Paul Doktor. A two-time prize winner of the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition, Mr. Harding was Assistant Principal Viola of the Canadian Opera Company, a member of the Toronto Symphony, and a member of Tafelmusik.
Most recently, Mr. Harding has been a member of both the Chester String Quartet and the Toronto String Quartet and served as Associate Professor, Indiana University at South Bend until his University of British Columbia appointment in 1999. He has been featured in several recordings; his latest CD for CBC Records is of the Bach Goldberg Variations performed with Triskelion.
